Love God. Love People. Follow Jesus
The greatest commandment is to Love the Lord God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength. The second is equally important: “Love your Neighbor as yourself.” (Mark 12:30). Last but not least, "Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me." (Matthew 16: 24-26)
Accept. Connect. Transform. Serve.
Journey Church exists to come alongside families on their journey helping them accept Jesus as the center, connect through relationships, transform the culture, and serve the community.
Our Values at Journey Church sets the attitude and actions for how we get things done.
The vision is the compass and our values is the map that gives us direction.
1. WE ARE UNITED UNDER ONE VISION.
Journey is built on the vision God has given our pastor, therefore we will defend our unity and that vision.
2. WE WANT TO BE KNOWN FOR WHAT WE ARE FOR.
Coming alongside families on their Journey. Speaking hope and life over people. Lifting up Jesus and advancing His Kingdom.
3. WE ACCEPT THAT JESUS IS THE CENTER.
Accepting Christ as the center of our lives. We make time for those things that are important in our lives. It’s about integrated priorities.
4. WE HONOR ONE ANOTHER TO GLORIFY GOD.
Connecting through relationships. We will love, forgive, show mercy and accept all people, because every person is invaluable and irreplaceable.
5. WE WILL INVEST OUR BEST IN THE NEXT GENERATION.
Transforming the culture. The Next Generation is the church of today and we will equip, train, and commission the next generation.
6. WE ARE CONTRIBUTORS NOT CONSUMERS.
Serving our community. Our staff and church will go above and beyond to give to the work of God in our city.
7. WE UNDERSTAND THAT THE MOST IMPORTANT MESSAGE DESERVES AN EXCELLENT PRESENTATION.
We will exhaust all creativity and innovation in our efforts to tell the timeless story of the gospel
8. WE WILL BE FAITHFUL IN THE SMALL THINGS.
We are responsible for what God has entrusted to us, knowing that He will give us more. We will not take this for granted.
9. WE DON’T MAINTAIN, WE MULTIPLY.
It’s about ongoing growth. We have a God given mission to reach this city. No amount of money, resources, or effort is insignificant in our attempts to reach those in need of Jesus. Because of this, we will unapologetically set goals and measure progress through all means possible.
10. WE BELIEVE BIG BUT START SMALL.
It’s all about an active faith. We will keep dreaming and doing. We will take giant steps of faith and watch God do immeasurably more than what we can ask or imagine.
